✨🤠THE BRA HITS NASHVILLE🤠✨

From the moment the plane landed and I was welcomed at the terminal with the phrase “Tennessee whiskey,” I knew I was in for a treat. This was my very first time in Tennessee, and truth be told, I didn’t meet a single stranger the entire time I was in town — just old friends I'd never met before. I was also met with a palpable if not fervent desire for professional women’s basketball to live here in Nashville. I arrived late Friday for a short weekend to team up once again with one of our favorite long-standing brand partners, Athletes Unlimited. We’d done two softball pop-ups, one volleyball pop-up and this was going to be our second basketball pop-up—but our first in Nashville.

Not only had Athletes Unlimited gushed about the extremely warm welcome Nashville gave them, but they also said that the community responded to their transfer from Dallas with immense gratitude and excitement. Along with that, another thing was crystal clear: Nashville would be the PERFECT place for The Sports Bra. I must admit, I’ve been traveling a lot and meeting a lot of people. Most folks across the country think that The Bra could thrive in their towns, but Nashville was different. They not only said that they want it, they told me how much they need it.

I met a wine and beverage distributor at Gannon’s around the corner from my hotel. He’d been in the industry for over a decade and once I told him about The Sports Bra he was ecstatic beyond belief. His wife and two daughters were all athletes and he knew exactly which Nashville neighborhoods Nashville The Bra could thrive in. He told me that in all his years in the food and beverage space, he could not imagine a better concept for his town.
I talked with a mother and son who quizzed me on the ins and outs of operating The Bra and asked me about franchise financing, startup costs and actual challenges in the industry. I met the folks who are leading the charge to bring a WNBA franchise to town. I met the mayor, the commissioner, several council members and other prominent figures at the Champs Weekend games too. Everyone knew everyone else and they all showed up in solidarity — the women’s basketball community is thriving and thirsty.

Being there with AU for this new city debut was perfection, and being able to connect directly with not only the fans but the people who want to promote and invest in their city was exactly what it’s all about. Huge thank you to Athletes Unlimited for your continued partnership of The Sports Bra and on your fifth year of changing the game for girls and women everywhere.
